Do Laundry Without Detergent AND Zero Chemicals

CleanStart infuses your washer’s cold water with activated oxygen (ozone) to clean, disinfect, and deodorize fabrics—no perfumes or residue. Installed and supported by Pure H2O of Ohio.

CleanStart ozone laundry system

No Detergent (Most Loads)

Everyday laundry comes out clean and fresh with ozone alone; use a small dose only for heavy soil.

No residue. Softer fabrics. Happier skin.

Cold-Water Cleaning

Ozone is most effective in cold water—get hot-water performance without the energy spend.

Save on gas/electric every load.

Disinfects & Deodorizes

Activated oxygen breaks down odors and destroys bacteria/viruses—no fragrances needed.

Clothes & machine stay truly fresh.
Before water treatment After water treatment

1) Generates Ozone (O₃)

Inside the unit, oxygen (O₂) is converted to ozone (O₃)—no chemicals or refills.

2) Infuses Cold Water

Ozone mixes into the cold water line, staying active long enough to clean deeply.

3) Oxidizes & Reverts to O₂

Ozone breaks down soils and microbes, then safely reverts back to oxygen—no residues.

Detergent vs. Ozone Cleaning

Everyday loads work great with ozone only; add a small detergent dose for heavy/greasy soils.

CleanStart® FAQs

Do I really not need detergent?
For most everyday loads, yes—no detergent needed. For heavy/greasy soils, add a small fraction.
What water temperature should I use?
Always use cold (or “tap cold”). Warm/hot water reduces ozone’s cleaning power.
Is it safe for my washer and fabrics?
Yes—works with most top- and front-load washers and leaves no chemical residues.
Does it remove odors?
Yes—ozone oxidizes odor-causing compounds, so laundry smells truly fresh.
What about maintenance?
Automatic, no consumables. We recommend an annual check during your regular service visit.
Who installs and supports it?
Pure H2O of Ohio—professional installation and support in Columbus, Cincinnati, and Dayton.
